We investigate to find out if the Hyundai Atos is expensive to maintain.
The Atos is the entry point to Hyundai’s product range and, as such, the most affordable model on offer locally by the Korean automaker. At the time of writing this article, there are four derivatives on offer, however, all are powered by an identical 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine capable of 50 kW and 99 Nm of torque.
All four derivatives are sold with a 5-year / 150 000 km vehicle and a 7-year / 200 000 km drivetrain warranty which inspires confidence in the compact model. However, customers only get access to a 1-year / 15 000 km service plan as standard meaning that after that, it falls onto the owner to maintain and service the vehicle.

Verdict
In the report, the Hyundai Atos is compared with some of its closest segment rivals. In this comparison, we can see that the servicing of the Hyundai Atos is priced well below what other manufacturers are asking for the same parts. However, the total for all the maintenance parts is the highest amongst its segment competitors, but not with too much. Thus it is safe to say that the Hyundai Atos is not that expensive to maintain, however, cheaper options in the segment do exist.
