Fisker claims that they have already received more than 25,000 units of the Ocean from various markets including India.
The second model from the brand will be the Pear which will arrive by 2024-25. The Pear is Fisker’s ‘global vehicle’ project and the brand plans to sell over 1 million units around the world. What do we know about Fisker Ocean so far?
It can be an affordable car and will take on the likes of Hyundai Kona EV
Fisker announced the Ocean line-up last year. It will be a high-performance SUV and the car is scheduled to arrive around the world by the end of this year. The most powerful variant of the Ocean will come with four electric motors powering each wheel and adding AWD capability to the vehicle.
In 2024, the brand will manufacture Pear in India
All the models come with 20-inch low resistance tires while high-performance 22-inch rims are also available. Fisker is yet to release the charging time of the electric SUV but the estimated range is about 500 km on a single charge. The car will come with a lot of new-age technology like solar panels mounted on the roof that will add 3,600 km per year under ideal conditions. However, that claim is yet to be put to a test.
