PETALING JAYA: The new Honda Vario 150 is a new sporty, stylish and affordable automatic transmission motorcycle from Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd, the distributor of Honda motorcycles in Malaysia, with a price tag of RM7,199.
The Honda Vario is also available in the Repsol Edition priced at RM7,399.
The Vario 150 features a 150cc, four-stroke single-cylinder engine which produces 13.1PS at 8,500rpm and 13.4Nm of torque at 5,000rpm.
The engine features the Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology and advanced Idling Stop System (ISP) for outstanding riding performance and fuel efficiency.
The bike is also equipped with a Combi Brake System (CBS) which helps balance the braking system across the front and rear wheels.
Other features include Dual LED headlight and LED tailight, LCD digital meter panel, Honda Smart Key System, 14in sporty wheel with wavy disc brake and 18 litres of space under the seat compartment.
The Vario 150 is available in four colours: Pearl Magellanic Black, Pearl Nightfall Blue, Force Silver Metallic and the Repsol Edition. It comes with a 2-year or 20,000km manufacturing warranty (whichever comes first).
As the Honda Vario 150 was launched just before the implementation of SST, managing director and chief executive officer of Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd, Keiichi Yasuda said, “There is no impact to the pricing of the Honda Vario 150 with the introduction of SST for bikes with 250cc engines and below.”
Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd has a sales target of 1,000 units a month for the Honda Vario 150.
