The Vario could give a tough fight to the Yamaha Aerox 155, should it come to India
Honda introduced the seventh generation of their sports scooter, Vario, in Indonesia recently. This scooter rivals directly against the Yamaha Aerox 155, which is also available in Indonesia and was launched in India recently.
The seventh-generation Vario has received significant cosmetic and mechanical updates over its predecessor.
Here are all the details you need about the 2022 Honda Vario.
2022 Honda Vario Styling and Features
We have compared the spec and features of the Honda Vario against its closest rival the Yamaha Aerox 155 in this article
The Honda Vario looks sharper than its predecessor. It sports a new full-LED headlamp at the front profile. The eyebrow-shaped thin LED DRLs are positioned above the headlamp and give an eyebrow-like impression.
The side profile of the front apron gets a muscular design which helps make the front profile of the Vario appear bulkier. The contoured seat, pillion grab rail, and side slung exhaust will remind you of its rival Yamaha Aerox.
The Honda Vario packs a full digital LCD console like its rival. The digital instrument cluster displays plenty of information to the rider including, speedo, odometer, average fuel consumption, a clock, and even battery voltage.
Some other notable features include
- An under-seat storage of 18.5 litres (the Yamaha Aerox gets a generous 24.5 liter of storage space).
- a USB charging port underneath the seat.
- An all-LED lighting system as well.

The scooter underpins Underbone – eSAF (enhanced Smart Architecture Frame) and uses 14-inch wheels wrapped with chunkier 100/80 section tyres at the front and 120/70 section tyres at the rear.
