Honda has revealed the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV and according to the Japanese automaker, the SUV will be initially launched in India. That being said, here are top things you need to know about the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV.
Bookings & Launch
According to Honda, the bookings for the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV will commence from July onwards. However, the launch of the Honda Elevate will only happen ahead of the upcoming festive season in India.
Engine
The upcoming Honda Elevate SUV will be powered by the same 1.5-litre, DOHC, 4-cylinder petrol engine as the 5th-generation Honda City sedan. This engine in the Honda Elevate is tuned to produce 119.4bhp at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,300rpm.
Gearbox
According to Honda, this 1.5-litre engine in the Honda Elevate SUV will come with a choice of two transmission options. This includes a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox.
Dimensions
The upcoming Honda Elevate SUV measures 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, 1,650mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of 2,650mm. This means the Honda Elevate SUV is 12mm longer, 15mm taller, and sports a 40mm longer wheelbase than the Hyundai Creta SUV.
Though differences are marginal, Honda’s superior packaging ensures the Elevate SUV comes with a 25-litre bigger boot at 458 litres. Furthermore, the ground clearance of the Honda Elevate SUV is 30mm higher than Hyundai Creta at 220mm. The turning radius is also very small at just 5.2 metres.
Features
Honda has revealed that the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV will come equipped with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless smartphone integration, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, lane-watch camera, rear-view camera, connected-car tech, and ADAS.
ADAS
As mentioned, the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV also comes with ADAS. This includes advanced safety features such as collision mitigation system, lane-keeping assist, high-beam assist, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane watch and more.
Safety
Some of the noticeable safety features on the Honda Elevate SUV include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-start assist, rear parking sensors, traction control, vehicle stability assist, seat belt reminder and more.
