Honda scooters are known for their reliability, fuel efficiency, and user-friendly features. Whether you’re a daily commuter or looking for a comfortable ride around town, Honda scooters have something to offer.
It was recently reported that Honda would introduce their revolutionary technology called H-Smart for the Honda Dio scooter. Honda introduced the H-Smart technology in its bestselling scooter, Activa, followed by Activa 125.
According to the reports, Dio will be upgraded with the H-Smart Technology, offering keyless functionality and alloy wheels much like it did the Activa H-Smart variant. The variant will also have other useful functionalities such as SmartFind, SmartUnlock, SmartStart, and SmartSafe features.
The SmartFind feature lets you find your scooter easily by making all four indicators flash, making it easier to spot in crowded parking areas. At the same time, the SmartStart feature allows you to start the scooter with a simple switch flip instead of using a traditional key slot.
The SmartUnlock feature enables you to conveniently unlock the handlebar, fuel filler cap, and under-seat storage unit simply by using the key fob. On the other hand, the SmartSafe feature enhances the scooter’s safety by shutting the keyless functionality of the fob.
The H-Smart technology will be available only in the top-end variant of the Dio. However, there are no mechanical changes in the Dio. The scooter will be powered by the existing air-cooled, 109cc, single-cylinder engine that generates 7.8bhp and 9Nm of torque.
The Honda Dio is currently priced at Rs 68,625 for the standard variant and Rs 72,626 for the DLX. The H-Smart variant will have a small premium over the DLX variant. When it launches, the Dio H-Smart will be the most affordable scooter with keyless functionality.
Currently, the Honda Dio is available in two variants, with the standard variant priced at Rs 68,625 and the DLX variant priced at Rs 72,626. The upcoming H-Smart variant of the Dio will be priced slightly higher than the DLX variant, as it does for Activa.
