Updates to the exterior include a new front bumper, new rear bumper and new 16″ dual-tone alloy wheels *1 (S & E variants wear 15″ wheels in differing designs). The RS variant of the City facelift features a new honeycomb grille, new front lower grille, rear diffuser, side skirting, and a “RS” emblem design. Due to the updated bumper design, the petrol and hybrid versions of the City RS are now slightly longer, measuring 4,589 mm in length compared to the S, E and V variants which are 4,580 mm long. Width and height of the car remain the same for all variants i.e. 1,748 mm and 1,467 mm.

Powering the car is still the 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC which offers 121 PS @ 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm @ 4,300 rpm, and paired to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The e:HEV RS meanwhile is fitted with a 1.5L i-VTEC running an Atkinson cycle combined with an electric motor and paired with an Electric-CVT (e-CVT). The engine produces 98 PS @ 5,600 – 6,400 rpm and 127 Nm @ 4,500 – 5,000 rpm, while the motor produces 109 PS @ 3,500 – 8,000 rpm and 253 Nm @ 0 – 3,000 rpm, which is best-in-class. However, the e:HEV has a higher top speed (177 km/h) compared to the petrol variants i.e. 196 km/h (S & E) and 195 km/h (V & RS), though it has a faster 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time of 9.9 seconds (10.2 seconds – S & E; 10.4 – V & RS).

To provide buyers with a more engaging and sporty driving experience, all petrol variants are fitted with paddle shifters. The e:HEV RS variant however, is fitted with deceleration selector paddles that enable the driver to engage the paddles for power regeneration and to decelerate the vehicle without stepping on the brake pedal.

In terms of interior enhancement, both Petrol RS and e:HEV RS are equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto*2 connectivity and a 7” TFT Meter. Except for the S variant, all other variants share new upgraded features i.e. 8 speakers, a new interface for the display audio, enhanced multi-angle rear view camera and new rear USB Type-C port.
