Honda has unveiled the much-awaited City e:HEV or the City Hybrid for the Indian market. Honda is yet to announce the price of the new City Hybrid. Customers can officially book the new City Hybrid from today and the price announcement will happen next month. The City e:HEV will be manufactured in India and it will become the most expensive variant of the car.
What is new on the Honda City e:HEV?

There are no visual differences between the Honda City standard petrol version and the hybrid variant. There are a few tweaks like a new mesh-type grille, e:HEV moniker on the tailgate, a slightly different fog lamp housing, a carbon finish on the rear diffuser and a blue coloured Honda logo. Honda is yet to announce the full feature list of the car. However, it will offer many more features compared to the standard Honda City petrol. It also gets new dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels.
The deliveries will start next month
Even the cabin of the new Honda City gets new ivory and black theme. There are new features including a smart key connect with AC control and a smart watch connect with the car. The instrument cluster is new and it shows the information from the hybrid system as well.

Honda will offer the new City Hybrid with the ADAS, which Honda has renamed Honda Sensing Technology. The system will offer a host of features like Collision Mitigation Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Road Departure Warning and auto high-beam assist. Honda City Hybrid offers four disc brakes.

The new City Hybrid gets powered by a unique setup. It gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine with two electric motors. There is a traction motor that drives the front wheels of the car and another motor that mainly works as a generator to charge the batteries.

The vehicle produces a maximum power of 126 PS combined and 253 Nm of torque combined. Honda claims that the new City Hybrid can return a maximum fuel efficiency of 26.5 km/l and can reach a top speed of 176 km/h.
You can now book the new City Hybrid
It gets three drive modes. The car can be driven in pure electric, pure petrol and hybrid mode. The car controls the modes and automatically shifts to the most economical and suitable mode according to the surroundings.
