Tesla Australia will be holding a “Get to Know Your Tesla” virtual introduction event for Australian and New Zealand customers. Customers will be able to submit questions to a panel of Tesla product experts in real time.
Tesla on its event website also noted the procedure for owners on how to register:
“To attend, please select your preferred session and date, then kindly RSVP with your Tesla account email. You will receive a confirmation email with the link to attend. For the best experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer.”
The first of these virtual sessions is called “Get to Know Your Model 3 or Model Y” which will be held on May 18 at 12 pm AEST or 2 pm NZST.

This is a good initiative by Tesla to allow recent owners to attend and learn more about their cars, particularly with the surging numbers of new Tesla EVs on the road – 14,000 in 2023 alone.
Car clubs like the Tesla Owners Club of Australia (TOCA) have already been holding boot camps for recent owners. These initiatives have been going on for years so it’s good to see Tesla starting to hold educational events too.

This will overall improve the ownership experience for many across Australia and New Zealand.
Previously, Tesla had a “Tesla Essentials” video series on its YouTube tutorials channel covering areas such as:
- Essentials
- Charging
- Physical Controls
- Touchscreen
- Autopilot
- Software
- Support
These are video guides produced by Tesla for owners and are also available inside the car via the in-built YouTube app under the “Theater” menu.
With thousands more owners joining the list every month in Australia and New Zealand, setting up regular events will allow many to learn more from product experts, making their experience better and our roads safer.
