The highly-awaited Kia EV6 has now finally made its official debut here in Malaysia, with the order books now open for the award-winning Korean electric vehicle (EV). Offered here in a single GT Line guise, interested customers can now place their bookings for the EV6 at all Kia dealerships nationwide. Prices start from RM300,668 on-the-road before insurance, excluding SST exemptions.
EXTERIOR
The EV6 was designed under the brand’s new ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, characterised by futuristic and high-tech details by blending sharp stylistic elements with smooth, sculptural shapes.
Key highlights of the new design include the ‘Digital Tiger Face’, which utilises the car’s daytime running lights and a ‘sequential’ dynamic light pattern to represent the brand’s signature ‘Tiger Nose Grille’ for the electrification era.
The side profile meanwhile accentuates a “crossover-inspired” aesthetic, with its sharp lines and high-tech detail giving the EV6 an aerodynamic silhouette. A character line runs along the bottom of the doors, curving upwards towards the rear wheel arches to visually elongate the profile of the car, and further extends to join up with the ducktail-esque full-width tail lamps.
In terms of exterior equipment, the Kia EV6 GT Line comes as standard with the following items:
Dual LED projector headlights, with LED daytime-running lights and sequential turn indicators20-inch alloy wheels, 225/45 profileSmart powered tailgateSmart keyless entry

The Kia EV6 will be available here only in the GT Line AWD Long Range guise at launch, with technical specifications shared with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Max, as both models are built on the same Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) architecture.

INTERIOR
Thanks to the e-GMP architecture, the Kia EV6 boasts a cabin space “similar to many mid-size SUVs”, despite its relatively compact exterior dimensions. The dashboard is designed specifically with a sloping surface to create a “sense of space and opennes” for the front passengers, while the rest of the cabin also highlights the use of sturdy fabrics made out of recycled plastics.
