Supercharged 509 V8-Powered 1953 Ford F-100 Is a Roadster Shop Restomod ShowstopperMotoriousElizabeth PuckettFri, September 11, 2026 at 12:30 PM UTCAdd us on GoogleThis drop-dead gorgeous 1953 Ford F-100 proves that a classic hauler and serious horsepower are not mutually exclusive. The truck is currently listed at Dutch Auto Auctions, and the striking studio photography used here comes courtesy of that listing.Built from the ground up by the Roadster Shop, this F-100 swaps its factory heart for a Bill Mitchell 509 cubic-inch big-block topped with a polished Weiand 4-71 supercharger, good for roughly 750 horsepower. That power heads through a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual to a Ford 9-inch rear end fitted with 3.50 gears and a limited-slip differential, all supported by a Roadster Shop Stage III chassis stretched four inches for a lower, longer stance. The presentation is every bit as serious as the mechanicals. The body wears a two-tone black-and-blue metallic finish accented with silver leaf, gray gradient shading, and yellow pinstriping courtesy of Rick's Pinstriping. It rolls on Billet Specialties Rail wheels, 20 inches up front and 22 inches out back, wrapped in BF Goodrich G-Force T/A rubber. The current owner has cared for the truck since 2004 and commissioned the Roadster Shop build personally, with only about 13 miles logged since completion. The pedigree backs up the presentation, too, as the truck has picked up Pro's Pick honors at multiple Goodguys events and landed a feature in Classic Trucks magazine.Offered on consignment, the F-100 is set to cross the block with an opening price of $185,000 when the auction kicks off on September 14, 2026. For anyone chasing a resto-mod that blends vintage Ford charm with pro-touring muscle, this one belongs at the top of the watch list.⚡️ Read the full article on MotoriousSign up for the Motorious Newsletter.
