Stelato is a high-end car brand from Huawei and BAIC, launched in 2024 with the S9 sedan as the first model. A year later, the S9T station wagon entered the market. However, the brand’s market performance is still underwhelming, with 21,044 cars handed over to clients in China in H1 2026 (China EV DataTracker data). The Stelato G9 The third model under Stelato appeared to be the G9 SUV. It is surprising that it took this brand two years to launch such a model, as BAIC is well-known in China and some foreign markets as an “off-road expert.” BAIC has an independent Beijing Off-Road brand, which includes various SUVs in different market segments. Now, BAIC can finally apply its expertise within the joint project with Huawei. The G9 will be sold via Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) sales network, which includes Aito, Luxeed, Stelato, Saic (Shangjie), and Maextro.
