With the growing concerns over the environmental impact of traditional fuels like petrol, sustainable alternatives have become necessary. Recently the automotive industry has been exploring the possibilities of E20 petrol, a more sustainable solution that offers more eco-friendly options for Indian motorists.
The industry’s key players, like Yamaha, Maruti Suzuki, Volkswagen, Skoda, Hyundai, etc., are developing, and some even offer engines that comply with the E20 petrol. Many more manufacturers are also expected to adapt to this new greener fuel.
Royal Enfield is the latest company to join the ranks by producing E20-compliant motorcycles. According to the latest reports, Royal Enfield dealerships are receiving fresh stocks of Classic 350, Himalayan, Interceptor 650, and Continental GT 650 motorcycles that are E20 petrol compliant.
The E20 fuel-ready Enfields’ are also OBD2 compliant. These new motorcycles have a sticker that says ‘up to E20 petrol’ on the fuel tank. The sticker is not permanent, and it can be removed. Apart from the stickering, there are no visible upgrades in the bike.
Royal Enfield is busy preparing for the 2023 Rider Mania that will be held in Vagator, Goa, from November 24 to 26, 2023. They have officially started accepting pre-registrations for the Rider Mania, with a registration fee of Rs 2,500.
The bike maker introduced the Motoverse last year, which consists of five exciting elements: Moto Thrill, Moto Ville, Moto Sonic, Moto Reel, and Moto Shop. Moto Thrill is dedicated to dirt track riding, sliding, trial schools, and competitions.
The Moto Ville is where the motorcycling culture unwinds, and Moto Sonic will have multiple music performances. Moto Reel is a platform where riders and non-riders share inspirational stories and conversations. And The Moto Shop, you can buy the brand’s apparel.
Royal Enfield unveiled their Super Meteor 650 in last year’s Rider Mania. This year, we can expect the highly anticipated Himalayan 450, the more powerful variant of the popular adventure motorcycle.
The bike maker plans to introduce multiple motorcycles in the 450 cc platform, including a cafe racer and a roadster. This new engine is a liquid-cooled unit, a first for Royal Enfield.
