Ducati India has launched the new Ducati Panigale V4R motorcycle at Rs 69.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new motorcycle comes straight out of Ducati’s state-of-the-art production facility in Bologna, Italy and 5 units of the model have already reached the Indian shores.
Like its predecessors, the Ducati Panigale V4R sources many of its technical aspects from MotoGP and WorldSBK. One such component is the ‘gun drilled’ titanium connecting rods and pistons with DLC surface treatment.
Coming to the powertrain setup, the new Ducati Panigale V4R uses a 998cc, Desmosedici Stradale R engine. In other words, it uses a 998cc, 90-degree, V4 engine capable of dishing out 240.5bhp at 15,500rpm.
However, this power figure is slightly misleading as the new Ducati Panigale V4R can produce this power only in ‘Track’ configuration. That being said, even in the standard form, the 998cc V4 engine still produces a mighty impressive 218bhp at 15,500rpm.
Coming back to the ‘Track’ configuration, the power output of the Ducati Panigale V4R is bumped to 237bhp with the fitment of the racing Akrapovič exhaust. However, to access the full beans, the user should also use a special oil developed by Shell for this motorcycle.
To make sure all the power is put down to the tarmac without any drama, the new Ducati Panigale V4R uses a whole suite of advanced electronics including Ducati Traction Control, ride-by-wire and many more.
Furthermore, the new Ducati Panigale V4R uses fully-adjustable Öhlins NPX25/30 pressurized USD forks at the front with 5mm more travel than its predecessor. At the rear, the motorcycle once again uses top-shelf equipment, this time in the form of an Öhlins TTX36 shock absorber.
Keeping up with the trend, the aerodynamics package has also been revised to improve efficiency. For this, Ducati has employed a pair of new two-element wings. According to Ducati, this guarantees the same aerodynamic load as its predecessor, but the wings are more compact.
At present, bookings for the new Ducati Panigale V4R motorcycle are open across all Ducati showrooms in India. Furthermore, the deliveries of all 5 units of the Ducati Panigale V4R motorcycles are set to commence immediately.

Priced at Rs 69.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Ducati Panigale V4R is not just an over-expensive showpiece. In fact, it is an engineering masterpiece that equally deserves to be ridden hard on a track and sit peacefully inside a collector’s garage.
