This new coupe crossover could be one of the first SUVs of its kind not made by one of the German luxury brands.
Will the coupe crossover SUV share the Chevy Trailblazer name?
So far, we don’t know what name this new Chevy vehicle will use. According to Jalopnik, the plan is to develop a new coupe-style in a subcompact SUV. It appears the vehicle could develop by using the current Trailblazer from the North American market blended with the Tracker crossover sold in Mexico, South America, and China. While it sounds like two of the same vehicles mashed together, they are on different-sized ends of the subcompact crossover SUV class.
GM Authority tells us the GM Korea subsidiary is handling the development of this new crossover. The shape of this new coupe crossover SUV will give us the familiar sloping roofline we see with many other coupe crossovers from luxury brands.
Even though we don’t know the name, we can guess it might fit into the Trailblazer lineup and be an affordable crossover coupe, something we haven’t seen previously.
