Crytek announced Crysis 4 on Wednesday with a new teaser trailer. The teaser trailer — which notes that Crysis 4 is a working title — is mainly high concept, without any gameplay or much to draw from.
You can check out the teaser trailer below:
“Crytek has a proud history of working with our community to develop the games you want to play,” the developers noted in a blog post accompanying the announcement. “Crysis is incredibly important to so many people – it’s beloved by gamers everywhere, and some of those working in the industry today are doing so because of the original game – so we want to make sure the next instalment in the franchise lives up to all of your expectations.”
The original Crysis first launched back in 2007 and was followed up Crysis 2 in 2011 and Crysis 3 in 2013. Since then, there haven’t been any new entries in the series. In 2020, Crytek released a remaster of the first game for modern consoles, followed by a complete remastered trilogy in 2021 that included the second and third entries in the series.
Given how early Crysis 4 is in development, it’s safe to say that when it launches it’ll be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and PS5.
