Bathurst 1000: Supercars 2022 – How to watch, full schedule, driver pairings, past winners
The iconic Bathurst 1000 is finally here.
Here’s everything you need to know as the action unfolds at Mount Panorama.
When is the Bathurst 1000?
The 2022 edition of the Bathurst 1000 will be held between Thursday, October 6 and Sunday, October 9.
The event returns to its traditional early-October slot following last year’s spectacle that took place in December due to COVID-19.
An endurance spectacle, the main Bathurst 1000 race will begin at 11:15 am, concluding at approximately 6:00 pm.
Bathurst 1000 weather forecast: is the race going ahead?
This year’s Bathurst 1000 is expected to be a wet one.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, rain is almost a certainty across the four days, with up to 40mm expected to fall on Saturday and 30mm on Sunday.
Despite the forecasted wet weekend, the full Bathurst 1000 event is set to go ahead, confirmed by Supercars CEO Shane Howard.
“In light of the weather forecast over the coming days, patrons are encouraged to plan accordingly,” Howard said on Wednesday.
“Sessions will begin for all categories on track on Thursday and run through until Sunday’s great race.
“Off track entertainment at the top and bottom of the mountain will also proceed as planned.
“We will act accordingly to ensure the safety of patrons and competitors at all times.”

Bathurst 1000 tickets
The 2022 edition of the Bathurst 1000 may be underway, but tickets for the remainder of the weekend are still on sale.
General admission and reserved grandstand tickets are currently on offer.
All campsites have been sold out.

Channel Seven will broadcast the Bathurst 1000 on free-to-air television, with a stream also available via 7Plus.
Fox Sports will also cover the action, meaning you can watch via Foxtel or stream it live through Kayo Sports.

Mount Panorama track details
The Mount Panorama Circuit is an historic racing track located in Bathurst, New South Wales.
It is just over 6.2km in length and features two straights – 1.9km and 1.1km in length, respectively.
When there isn’t a racing event, the track is used as a public road.
