The Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160, popular roadster-segment motorcycles from Bajaj Auto, now offer a new red colour option. Competing against the likes of the Apache RTR 200 4V and Apache RTR 160 4V in the roadster segment, these bikes will now have a cut above the rest.
This latest shade will be added to the Ebony Black and Pearl Metallic White colour schemes. This recent addition of a new colour follows the recent update that introduced USD front forks for both motorcycles.
Earlier, most of the perimeter frame was finished in White, now Gun-Metal Grey. Tank shrouds with 160 or 200 written in faded White are now faded Grey. Red pin-striping on wheels has also been changed to Grey. The headlight cowl also gets new stickering in Red and White.
As a new addition to the design, a White sticker has been added to the lower part of the fuel tank. A shift in colour distribution is evident in the rear subframe body panels.
Previously, most of the panels were in Black, followed by Red and a small amount of White. However, in the updated version, the majority is Red, followed by White stickers.
Apart from the colour scheme, there’s nothing new in the Pulsar NS range. However, the USD forks and updated braking system, which came in the previous upgrade, are practical and have improved ride quality tremendously. A gear position indicator was added to the instrument cluster as part of the upgrade.
The mechanical side remains the same; NS160 is still powered by the same 164.82cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, making 15.68bhp of power and 14.65Nm of torque and paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
NS200 has a 199.5cc engine with 24.14bhp of power and 18.74Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox and liquid-cooling setup. There still need to be LEDs on offer in headlights and turn indicators.
Pulsar NS160 is priced at Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and NS200 at Rs. 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The name of this new Red colour still needs to be out.
Thoughts On The New Red Colour Options For Bajaj NS160 And NS200
Introducing new red colour options for the Bajaj NS160 and NS200 has certainly added a fresh and vibrant appeal to these popular roadster motorcycles. While the new colour options may not bring significant functional enhancements, they undoubtedly give riders more choices to personalise their bikes.
