KUALA LUMPUR: Bad Lab (Brave and Daring Laboratory) has ventured into motorsports by partnering Boon Siew Honda Racing Team under its ‘Man-Gineered for Power’ campaign.
The initiative is part of Bad Lab’s mission to support local talents and develop more Malaysian riders that are able to compete on the global stage.
Bad Lab is a Malaysian brand known internationally for its range of grooming products for confident and outgoing men.
The announcement by Bad Lab and Boon Siew Honda to establish the Bad Lab KC Honda Racing Team was made after months of discussions.
Bad Lab commercial director Lum Chong Heng said the decision to partner Boon Siew also aligned perfectly well with Bad Lab’s mission to empower the youth to be brave and daring in the pursuit of their dreams no matter what field they are involved in.
“This is indeed one of the most important chapters in the brand story of Bad Lab since it was first introduced to the local and international market in 2014,” he said.
Bad Lab also unveiled the riders of Bad Lab KC Honda Racing Team.
They are:
1) Muhammad Irfan Haykhal Amidi, 16, from Negeri Sembilan;
2) Muhamad Shahzul Naim Razali, 25, from Selangor;
3) Adib Hareez Hazwat, 17, from Johor; and
5) Muhammad Farish Iqmal Khayrul Elyas, 17, from Johor.
Boon Siew Honda Racing Team manager Zulhelmi Ahmad said Bad Lab’s daring marketing initiatives were consistent with the team’s core slogan of ‘Semangat Impian.’
Also revealed at the event are the team’s specially designed official racing suit and motorbikes are meticulously designed with accents of black and gold.
The team will be racing for the first time from Feb 25 at the upcoming first round of the 30th edition of Petronas Malaysian Cub Prix (2023), which will be held at the Sepang International Circuit race track.
