Honda has showcased the XRE 300 Rally Flex Fuel at Auto Expo 2022. The Honda XRE 300 Rally Flex Fuel can run on anything from e20 to e85 ethanol-blended fuels and offers 259mm ground clearance.
The XRE 300 Rally is the only motorcycle from Honda that is being showcased at Auto Expo 2023 as the Japanese manufacturer has decided to skip this year’s automotive showpiece. The Honda XRE 300 Rally is currently sold in Brazil as a flex-fuel vehicle and is being showcased at Auto Expo with India set to switch to e20 imminently.
The Honda XRE 300 Rally is powered by a 291.7cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that can run on regular petrol as well flex-fuel (petrol-ethanol) blends containing anywhere from 20 to 85 per cent (e20-e85) of ethanol blended in. The XRE 300 stores its fuel in a large 13.8-litre fuel tank.
When running on petrol, the Honda XRE 300 Rally pushes out 25.05bhp at 7,500rpm and 27.06Nm of peak torque. When sipping an ethanol blend, the Honda XRE Rally produces 25.24bhp at 7,500rpm and 27.45Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The XRE 300 sends power to the rear wheel with the help of a 5-speed gearbox and chain drive.

The Honda XRE 300 Rally measures 2,195mm long, and 838mm wide and stands 1,215mm tall. The XRE 300 Rally has a 1,417mm long wheelbase and offers 259mm of ground clearance which really helps it when it is time to go off the beaten path. The seat sits 860mm above the ground.
The XRE 300 Rally sports a semi double crib frame and its suspension setup allows for quite a bit of travel. At the front, the XRE300 rides sports a telescopic fork with 245mm of travel while the monoshock at the rear offers up 225mm of travel.
The Honda XRE 300 Rally rides on spoked rims with a 21-inch unit at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear. The rims are shod with 90/90 (front) and 120/80 (rear) tyres.
Braking duties on the Honda XRE 300 Flex Fuel are handled by discs on both ends. At the front this adventure motorcycle from Honda sports a 256mm disc while the rear is braked with the help of a 220mm disc. The brakes are assisted by ABS.
The Honda XRE 300 Rally sports the typical adventure motorcycle highlights including the beak-like nose, high seat and upswept exhaust. The Honda XRE 300 Rally also sports a TFT instrument cluster and full LED lighting all around.
