Entries are now officially open for Toyota’s 16th annual Dream Car Art Contest, inviting children with a love for drawing to put their imaginations to use to both design their dream cars and share their thoughts on the future of what mobility could look like.
There are a number of prizes available to the winners, both for individual entries, as well as for any participating schools with the highest number of valid entry forms.
Entries for the competition can be submitted from the 21st of November 2022 until the 10th of February 2023 in three age categories, and participants must be under the age of 15 years old and living in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, or Swaziland.
The contest was originally started in 2004 in Japan by Toyota president and CEO Akio Toyoda, “who wanted to create a platform to teach children to use the power of dreams and imagination while stimulating their interest in cars,” said the company.
Since then, it has grown to become one of the largest art competitions for children in the world.
