Arash, the British sports car dwarf, is currently working on an e-hypercar. The empire will be available on three performance levels. Arash is a modest sports vehicle company from the United Kingdom that has garnered attention mostly via announcements rather than real automobiles.
Nonetheless, the British want to take part in the concert of supercharged electric hypercars. The Arash Empire is meant to rearrange the deck.
Gradually increasing to 2,400 kW
Arash is projecting the empire in three performance levels as a clear message to the competitors. The Imperium E is powered by an electric motor weighing only 18 kg and producing only 600 kW – at least 816 horsepower in standard HP currency. There are two electric motors with 600 kW each throughout the empire with no name affix.
The highest variant is the Imperium S, which delivers four 600 kW electric units – a total of 3,264 horsepower – to the field. The complete electric drive design is built with 800-volt technology. The liquid-cooled energy storage is based on standard 18650 lithium-ion batteries and has a capacity of 50 or 100 kWh.
Batteries and electric motors are incorporated in a carbon monocoque, to which 20-inch front rims and 21-inch rear wheels are flanged. Front and rear crash boxes, as well as an integrated roll cage, enhance safety.
Torque vectoring and, of course, all-wheel drive should be possible with transfer cases on each axle. Aside from the engine power, the light weight assures great performance. Arash’s goal is to maintain his Imperium models weighing between 900 and 1,150 kg by following a stringent diet. Already, the 100 kWh battery weights 450 kg.
The weight of the little box is indicated as 250 kilos.
Exclusively for a short time.
In the cockpit, you’ll find the usual touchscreens and monitors with networking capabilities. Heat pumps should be used for air conditioning. The Arash Imperium looks like a normal mid-engine sports vehicle idea. The passenger compartment is located far in front, with the nose pressing firmly into the tarmac. The form is determined by large cooling air ducts in the sides. An integrated spoiler at the back should also function as an air brake.
The Arash Imperium, of course, is extremely restricted in edition. A total of 75 cars are planned to be manufactured. Twenty of these are Imperium E, 25 are Imperium, and 20 are Imperium S. The remaining five copies are set aside for a limited edition Final Edition.
And, of course, the empire should look good not only on the road, but also on the racetrack. Prices and a timetable have yet to be announced.
Another industry midget, Arash, has revealed a totally electric super sports vehicle. The edition is tightly restricted to 75 copies and promises up to nearly 3,300 horsepower. We’re intrigued to see whether any of these ever make it to the road.
