The upcoming Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has been visualised by digital artist Kolesa, following a recent teaser of the highly anticipated off-roader.Toyota plans to bring back this legendary SUV to the United States, with an expected debut in 2024 as a 2025 model.

The latest teaser image reveals a large, boxy SUV with short overhangs and retro design elements. While the overall profile bears a resemblance to the new Lexus GX, there are distinct Toyota features incorporated. Folks at Kolesa have further highlighted these Toyota design cues in their latest rendering.
Compared to its more upscale counterpart, the Land Cruiser Prado envisions a revised front end, featuring a traditional grille and different headlamps. The SUV also showcases chunkier tyres wrapped around new wheels, vertical taillights flanking an identical tailgate, multiple Toyota badges, and other subtle details. It is expected that the actual production model won’t deviate significantly from this depiction, although the exact design remains to be seen.

Specifics regarding the powertrain have yet to be confirmed. However, speculation points to the possibility of the twin-turbo 3.4-litre V6 engine found in the latest Lexus GX, which generates 260 kW and 650 N.m. Rumours suggest that the expected Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will share many components with the Lexus GX, including the TNGA-F platform. This platform also underpins the LX, Toyota Land Cruiser 300, Tundra, and Toyota Sequoia models.
As of now, further details regarding the Land Cruiser Prado, such as its interior features and off-road capabilities, are yet to be disclosed. Toyota is giving us no choice but to patiently wait for more information to emerge regarding this highly anticipated SUV.
