The range now kicks off at $24,100.
Hyundai USA has quietly announced pricing for the all-new 2024 Kona, revealed last year with ICE, hybrid, and fully-electric drivetrains.
The lineup currently comprises four models with front- or all-wheel-drive. The base SE costs $24,100, making it $1,960 pricier than the outgoing model. The 2024 SE with all-wheel drive is priced at $25,600.
SE models receive 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, cloth upholstery, six airbags, and a host of driver assists as standard. Are you looking for a bit more luxury? Perhaps the SEL will be more to your liking. Priced from $25,450 ($26,950 for AWD), the SEL trim is $1,500 dearer than before.
For the additional outlay, Hyundai has packed the SEL with all the SE's equipment, dual-zone climate control, a power-operated driver's seat, rear privacy glass, and 18-inch wheels, to name a few features.

The SE and SEL gain motivation from Hyundai's naturally aspirated 2.0-liter Atkinson Cycle engine, which produces modest outputs of 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. If that won't cut it, you'll have to look at the N Line and Limited derivatives for more power.
Equipped with the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, the Kona is turned into a relatively vigorous performer. 190 hp and 190 lb-ft are up for grabs, with the added benefit of an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SE and SEL models make do with a CVT gearbox.
However, you pay for these benefits as the 2024 N Line ($30,650) is now $2,800 more expensive than its 2023 counterpart. An AWD version is available for $32,150. Besides the sportier exterior and interior bits and 19-inch wheels, the N Line also benefits from an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system, sunroof, and N Line seats with Alcantara inserts.

Sitting at the top of the range is the $31,650 Limited ($33,150 for AWD). The plushest Kona is $2,700 pricier than the outgoing model. Buyers can look forward to an array of luxury features, including H-Tex leatherette-trimmed seats with a ventilation function, extended soft-touch materials, a hands-free liftgate, a heated steering wheel, and more.
Much like the previous generation, the AWD models benefit from independent multilink suspension instead of the more conventional torsion beam setup found on the front-driven Konas. Hyundai is yet to release pricing for the all-electric derivative. Based on the increases seen here, we anticipate the new model will start at around $36,000.
If you're wondering about the high-performance N variant, Hyundai has yet to decide. The sportiest version is under consideration and may return as an all-electric model, depending on the success of the recently revealed Ioniq 5 N.
All prices listed here do not include Hyundai's $1,335 delivery fee.
