Kia has unveiled the 2023 Kia Telluride SUV. It is worth mentioning that the 2023 iteration of the full-size 3-row SUV from the South Korean automaker is a facelifted version rather than a completely new model.
Speaking about Kia Telluride, the 3-row premium SUV made its debut back in 2019 and was named after the town of Telluride in Colorado, USA. Apart from that, the Kia Telluride SUV was named the 2020 World Car of the Year.
Unlike the Hyundai Palisade, the Kia Telluride was launched at the 2019 North American International Auto Show and the model is not sold in South Korea.
Before unveiling the 2023 Kia Telluride SUV to the world, Kia had previously released a couple of teasers to keep the automotive world on its toes. Now, Kia has fully revealed the 2023 iteration of the Kia Telluride SUV.
Speaking about the changes, the 2023 Kia Telluride gets redesigned vertical LED headlamps and LED taillamps. In addition to that, Kia has also given the 2023 Telluride a new front grille, new bumpers and a few more redesigned elements.
On the inside, the updated Kia Telluride now gets two 12.3-inch screens, a resigned dashboard, a new steering wheel, and a revised interior colour scheme. All these changes make the interior of the Kia Telluride look a lot more premium and sophisticated than before.
In addition to these changes, we also expect the upcoming Kia Telluride to sport a new rear bumper with revised styling and also sport an updated interior with better leather and improved ergonomics. However, the overall silhouette of the Kia Telluride remains the same as the outgoing model.
In terms of features, the latest iteration of the Kia Telluride gets a large 10-inch heads up display, in-car hotspot, 2 USB charging slots in all three rows, connected car tech, and much more.
Kia also provides an optional full display mirror HomeLink functionality. In addition to this, the Kia Connect feature now comes with an option for a digital key that can be shared with friends and family members via a simple text message.
Keeping up with the times, the 2023 Kia Telluride SUV comes with ADAS as standard. This system in Kia Telluride comes with active safety systems such as high beam assist, lane departure warning and keeping assist, blind spot collision avoidance assist rear, forward collision warning and collision avoidance assist with pedestrian detection,
blind-spot view monitor, surround-view monitor, highway driving assist, driver attention warning, smart cruise control with stop & go, parking distance warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane following assist and safe exit assist.
In terms of powertrain, the Kia Telluride comes with only one engine option and we did not see much changes in the powertrain of the Kia Telluride SUV. The SUV still continues to use the 3.8-litre, naturally-aspirated, V6 petrol engine with 287bhp of peak power and 355Nm of peak torque.
Moreover, the gearbox continues to be the tried-and-tested 8-speed unit and the SUV also comes equipped with a new Downhill Brake Control (DBC).
The latest update also adds two new variants – X-Line and X-Pro. In addition to these, three new exterior colours have also been added to the list – Jungle Wood Green, Midnight Lake Blue and Dawning Red.
