Hyundai has announced the 2023 Nexo, its latest hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicle, in the U.S. Here’s everything we know about the 2023 Hyundai Nexo, a carry-over model:
Design & Features
The Nexo was well ahead of its time when Hyundai launched it for the 2020 model year and it still looks like an appealing alternative fuel SUV. Earlier reports indicated that Hyundai will make significant changes to the car, but the latest information is that the company has postponed the plan to MY2024. Along with the design, the 2023 Nexo carries over the current model’s trim structure and features. Customers get two trim options: Blue and Limited.

The 2023 Hyundai Nexo Blue trim includes exterior features like LED headlights & tail lights, 17” alloy wheels, heated ORVMs, solar windshield and front windows, and privacy rear windows, and more. 8-way power front seats with power lumbar support and heating, 10.25″ fully digital instrument cluster, 12.3″ touchscreen infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, etc. are some of its interior highlights.
The 2023 Hyundai Nexo Limited trim can be identified from its larger, 19″ alloy wheels, power sunroof, and roof rails. It features a hands-free tailgate with an auto-open function and adjustable height setting as well. The top-end trim offers more comfort and convenience with front-seat ventilation, surround view monitor, heated steering wheel, and Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA). For the audiophiles, there’s an exclusive 440-watt Krell sound system with an 8-channel amp and 8 speakers.

On the safety front, the Blue trim includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection (FCA-Ped), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Lane Follow Assist includes Lane Keeping Assist and Departure Warning (LFA), and more. Prices & Release Date
The 2023 Nexo’s prices could start at around USD 60,000 and its launch could take place later in Q3 2022. The current model costs USD 59,435 in the Blue trim and USD 62,885 in the Limited trim. We’re expecting Hyundai Motor America to release more information on the FCEV in the coming weeks.
