Hero MotoCorp has relaunched the Hero Passion Plus motorcycle in India after a brief hiatus. The 2023 iteration of the Hero Passion Plus motorcycle is priced at Rs 76,301 (ex-showroom) and now comes with the latest BS6 Phase 2 powertrain.
This is the same BS6 Phase 2-compliant engine that also powers Hero HF Deluxe and Splendor motorcycles in India. This 97.2cc, single-cylinder engine puts out 7.9bhp and 8.05Nm of peak torque.
Much like the Hero HF Deluxe and Hero Splendor motorcycles, the newly launched 2023 Hero Passion Plus motorcycle also comes equipped with a city-friendly 4-speed gearbox. It is also worth mentioning that this powertrain is compatible with the newer E20 petrol and comes equipped with Hero’s i3s start/stop technology.
That being said, the newly launched Hero Passion Plus motorcycle is now available in 3 colour options – Sports Red, Black Nexus Blue, and Black Heavy Grey. Furthermore, customers can get up to Rs 1,100 off when buying the Passion Plus motorcycle from the ‘eSHOP’.
In terms of features, the Hero Passion Plus continues to be a very basic motorcycle with features such as a part digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels, halogen lighting and self-start. However, Hero MotoCorp has equipped the motorcycle with a very convenience-aiding USB charging port.
Coming to the hardware, the Hero Passion Plus uses a double cradle frame suspended by a telescopic front suspension and twin rear shock absorbers. On the other hand, braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes at both ends.
