Bajaj has re-launched the Avenger 220 Street motorcycle in India at Rs 1.42 lakh, ex-showroom. The 2023 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street motorcycle will be sold alongside other variants of the Avenger motorcycle including 220 Cruiser and 160 Street.
Diving into details, the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street motorcycle was discontinued back in 2020, citing unfavourable sales figures. However, with the re-launch of the model, Bajaj is trying to further penetrate the affordable cruiser motorcycle market.
The re-launched Bajaj Avenger 220 Steert motorcycle comes with an updated 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that is now compatible with the latest BS6 Phase 2 emission regulation and E20 fuel.
This updated powertrain now puts out 19bhp of peak power and 17.55Nm of peak torque. Other than that, the power and torque is sent to the rear wheels via a tried-and-tested 5-speed transmission.
In terms of styling, the newly re-launched Bajaj Avenger 220 Street comes with a different headlight cowl, alloy wheels, a handlebar, and a grab rail. Other changes include an amber backlit digital instrument cluster.
Suspension duty on the new Bajaj Avenger 220 Street motorcycle is handled by telescopic forks with a double anti-friction bush at the front and 5-step adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear.
Other features of the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street motorcycle include single-channel ABS, a 280mm front disc brake, a 13-litre fuel tank, a 3.8-litre reserve fuel tank, and a very convenient 169mm of ground clearance.
All of this makes the new Bajaj Avenger 220 Street not only an affordable cruiser motorcycle but a good motorcycle for city commutes as well. As such, we expect this motorcycle to attract new customers to Bajaj dealerships across the country.
Thoughts About The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street
The Bajaj Avenger 220 Steet sports a few elements that make it more suitable for city commutes and we expect this character of the motorcycle to attract more customers to the Bajaj dealerships across India.
