After confirming its arrival last month, Toyota Motor Philippines has finally released all the details of the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid.
Unlike previous Hybrid offerings from Toyota like the Camry, Corolla Altis, and Corolla Cross, the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid comes not just in one, but two variants—the entry-level XLE and the top-of-the-line LTD. For 2022, all variants of the RAV4 Hybrid benefit from projector-type LEDs with automatic high-beam. The same LED lighting technology is found in the front fog lamps and rear combination lamps. In terms of differences, the LTD gets beefier 18-inch wheels with 225/60R18 tires to the XLE’s 225/65R17s. Moreover, the LTD adds auto folding side view mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, an aluminum-finish on its roof rail, and a moon roof.
Inside, both variants benefit from a smart entry system with push-button engine start/stop as well as a power tailgate (although only the LTD gets a kick sensor). Entertainment is provided by a 7-inch display audio system with DVD, Bluetooth, and USB functionality as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless device charger is also standard as well. Further adding luxury niceties to the LTD are leather seats, an 8-way powered driver’s seat with memory, and a larger (7-inch) multi-information display.
Under the hood, both variants of the RAV4 Hybrid come solely with a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force engine mated to an electric motor. All in all, the system generates a total of 218 horsepower and 221 Nm of torque. This is then connected to a CVT gearbox driving the front wheels.
For safety, the RAV4 Hybrid features the Toyota Safety Sense or TSS as standard. It gives functionalities such as Pre-Collision System, Automatic High Beam, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Also standard are 7 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, and front and rear parking sensor. Meanwhile, the LTD further adds Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor.
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is now available starting at P 2,157,000 for the XLE and goes up to P 2,500,000 for the LTD.
