BYTON, Foxconn Technology Group and Nanjing Development Zone have officially signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to jointly accelerate the production of BYTON’s 1st model M-Byte by the first quarter of 2022.
According to the agreement, Foxconn will provide its expertise in advanced manufacturing technology, solid operational management experience and will share industrial resources to support the production of BYTON’s M-Byte.
The two companies says the partnership will advance the growth of each company’s EV business and ‘foster a greater development of the EV industry’.
Foxconn is a major manufacturer of Apple products.
Ms. Ding Qingfen, Co-CEO of BYTON, says: “We are excited to be back. The partnership with Foxconn will bring us the expertise of precision manufacturing and profound resources, enabling us to deliver the promise of next-generation smart mobility experience.”
Mr. Young Liu, Chairman of Foxconn Technology Group, adds: “We are pleased to work with BYTON to advance the production of the M-Byte. This will allow us to contribute toward the further growth of the EV industry, a demonstration of our commitment in the transformation of the traditional automotive industry. BYTON is headquartered in Nanjing, China, which is also home to its intelligent manufacturing base and R&D center.
