Honda recently revealed the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV in India. Additionally, bookings for the Honda Elevate SUV have been scheduled to commence from July onwards, whereas the launch of the model is said to take place ahead of the festive season.
Looking at the images, the Honda Elevate SUV turns out to be a very attractive SUV with its upright front section consisting of a large octagonal front grille and sleek-looking LED headlamps.
Furthermore, both LED headlamps are connected by a thick chrome bar positioned just above the front grille. Also, design elements such as the faux skid plates, clamshell bonnet, and small LED fog lamps help the SUV stand out from the crowd.
Coming to the sides, the door-mounted rear-view mirrors, thick claddings, silver roof rails, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and sharkfin antenna gives the Honda Elevate SUV a lot of character. Also, the sleek LED headlamps complete the overall profile.
Additionally, the left side ORVM of the Honda Elevate SUV comes with a camera that is part of the ADAS tech. In fact, the Honda Elevate comes with many advanced safety features such as collision mitigation system, lane-keeping assist, high-beam assist, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane watch and more.
In terms of dimensions, the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV measures 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, 1,650mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of 2,650mm. On top of that, the ground clearance of the Honda Elevate SUV stands at 220mm and the boot space measure 458 litres.
Powering the Honda Elevate SUV is the same 1.5-litre, DOHC, 4-cylinder petrol engine that powers the 5th-generation Honda City. This engine in the Honda Elevate is tuned to produce 119.4bhp at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,300rpm.
According to Honda, this 1.5-litre engine in the Honda Elevate SUV will be offered with a choice of two transmission options. This includes a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox.
Stepping inside, the tan-coloured front seats look very premium and we expect these seats to be extremely comfortable over long distances. The rear seats are also finished in the same colour and they look very spacious and comfortable as well.
Furthermore, the large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit completely lifts the ambience of the interior and comes with features such as wireless smartphone integration and connected-car tech.
Other than that, there is also a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a wireless charging pad to make the whole interior feel contemporary. However, it is worth mentioning that some of the mentioned features are likely to be part of the top-spec variants only.
Thoughts About The Upcoming Honda Elevate SUV
Honda seems to have put in a lot of effort to develop the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV. This effort is clearly visible and we expect this SUV to quickly gain traction in the Indian market if the Japanese automaker prices the SUV on par with its competitors.
