Kia Singapore recently unveiled its freshly renovated showroom, designed to redefine a customer’s car buying experience. They also took this opportunity to launch their first ever all-electric PBV.
The 4,000 square foot showroom has been thoroughly overhauled, and now has space to display up to nine cars. It follows Kia’s new showroom design philosophy of “Opposites United”, where contrasting elements live harmoniously in the same space. There are two distinctive zones in the showroom – a Customer Zone, and a Display Zone. The former has been designed to be comfortable and relaxing, so customers feel at home when purchasing their new Kia. The latter has been styled to help the Kia cars stand out, creating an environment to show off the technology, features and design of their vehicles.
Launch of the All-New Kia Niro Plus EV
Kia also took this opportunity to launch the latest vehicle in their PBV line-up. Short for Purpose-Built Vehicle, this is part of the Korean automaker’s “Plan S” strategy, which has been designed to revolutionise its standing within the mobility solution space. This is the second variant in the Niro Plus lineup, the electric variant joining the hybrid that was originally launched back in February this year. Powering the electrified Niro Plus is a front-mounted 143 bhp electric motor, with a 64kWh battery pack. It’ll do 427 kilometres on a single charge, and can be recharged to 80% from 10% in just 47 mins with the use of a DC 100kWh charger. You can also charge it up via AC, at up to 11kWh.The launch of the Niro Plus EV is in line with Cycle and Carriage’s commitment to zero-emissions motoring. It also supports the Singapore Green Plan 2030, by offering a green solution to taxi and ride-hailing companies that aim to offer zero-emissions mobility.
