Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has announced two new colours for the 2026 YAMAHA PG-1. The Yamaha PG-1 is a scrambler-style underbone motorcycle, meant for rugged terrain, light off-roading, and paved roads. So yes, you can say it is an all-in-one motorcycle, capable of taking you wherever you want to go. Built on this principle, the bike needs to be tough, reliable, easy to work on in case of damage. Hence Yamaha kept it simple by powering it with a single-cylinder, 114 cc, air-cooled, SOHC engine. It produces 8.8 hp (6.6 kW) at 7,000 rpm and maximum torque of 9.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Power is channeled through a manual clutch and four-speed gearbox. The instrument panel is fully analog, as well. Even the lights are halogen (you can swap over the bulb from the taillight to the headlight if it blew when in the jungle). All adequate to get the job done. Other specifications include a 5.1-litre fuel tank, disc brake at the front and drum brake at the back, and split seats. Put everything together and you get a bike that weighs just 107 kg.
