Xiaomi Auto needs to achieve a growth of approximately 34% compared to 2025. On the evening of January 3rd, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun kicked off the first live stream of the new year. The core segment of the broadcast was the “disassembly of a brand-new Xiaomi YU7,” during which Lei Jun also addressed numerous online criticisms and questions about Xiaomi’s vehicles in a comprehensive response. He revealed that the company’s initial delivery target for 2025 was set at 300,000 units. Due to smooth progress, this was later raised to 350,000 units, yet the actual final deliveries reached 410,000 units. Based on this market performance, Lei Jun announced the annual target for 2026: to deliver 550,000 Xiaomi vehicles throughout the year. This means Xiaomi Motors needs to achieve approximately a 34% growth compared to 2025. Lei Jun admitted frankly that the challenges in 2026 will certainly not be few, nor will they be easy. Xiaomi Auto aims for 550k deliveries in 2026 Looking back at 2025, Xiaomi Motors’ performance in the overall market was indeed remarkable. For the Xiaomi YU7 model alone, deliveries exceeded 150,000 units within six months of its launch, which is 2.3 times the delivery volume of the SU7 during the same period. From an industry-wide perspective, Xiaomi Motors ranked fourth in the sales ranking of new automotive forces in the first half of 2025, trailing only Leapmotor, Li Auto, and XPeng. Official data shows that Xiaomi Motors’ gross profit margin reached 26.4% in the second quarter of 2025, surpassing Tesla’s 18.2% during the same period. Xiaomi’s Vice President Lu Weibing once stated that the average selling price of Xiaomi vehicles has reached 253,000 RMB. If taxes are included, the average selling price would rise to 287,000 RMB. Xiaomi Auto stores To achieve the delivery target of 550,000 units, Xiaomi Motors will face multiple challenges. Xiaomi Auto plans to launch four new models next year to boost sales, including an SU7 facelift, an SU7 executive edition, an extended-range five-seat SUV, and an extended-range seven-seat SUV. A source revealed that the SU7 facelift and the extended-range seven-seat SUV are slated for release in the first half of the year, while the SU7 executive edition and the extended-range five-seat SUV are planned for the second half to year-end. Additionally, Lei Jun stated during the livestream that he will focus more on Xiaomi Auto in 2026. The company also plans to invest at least 200 billion yuan in R&D over the next five years, increase investment in large AI models, and continue building its “Human x Car x Home” ecosystem.
