Its styling was created by Ferrari veteran Werner Gruber. The RX will rival the Xiaomi YU7 and the Voyah Passion S, offering 852 km of range. Luxeed is a joint brand between Chery and Huawei. Its current model line includes three cars: the S7 sedan, the R7 coupe-SUV, and the V9 minivan. Huawei is responsible for retail sales of the Luxeed brand, marking its cars through its HIMA network alongside Aito, Stelato, Maextro, and Saic (Shangjie). According to China EV DataTracker, Luxeed handed over 9,906 vehicles to customers in July 2026 domestically. The Luxeed RX The Luxeed RX is the latest addition to the lineup. It is also the first Luxeed-branded vehicle that was designed by Werner Gruber, who worked at Pininfarina, Ferrari, and Saleen. The RX adopts a totally new design language, becoming a black sheep in the lineup. Its naming is also quite surprising, as Luxeed previously called its cars with a letter followed by a number. But maybe the “X” character here symbolizes “10.” The Luxeed RX was previously referred to as “another Purosangue clone.” Such a nickname was caused by the general body outline of the car, which is quite unusual for an electric vehicle. The Luxeed RX has a long bonnet line with a generous space between the wheel arch and the front door. It also has pronounced rear fenders, semi-hidden door handles, and a short rear end. The RX boasts 10 aerodynamic elements around the body. Three wheel options are available: R20, R21, and R22. Interior of the Luxeed RX The RX is a five-seat SUV with dimensions of 5020/2007/1585 mm. Its interior has a curious feature, which is a combination of conventional side-view mirrors with side-view cameras. The car’s door cards adopt screens that show information about surroundings. A driver can check whatever he likes. The RX also has a streaming rear-view mirror, a large 16.1-inch floating screen, an 8.88-inch passenger display, an LCD instrument cluster, and a 26-inch HUD. The Luxeed RX offers a total of 38 sensors and four LiDARs. One of them offers 896 lines. As a result, the RX is capable of driving from address to address automatically. The driver only needs to constantly monitor the situation and be ready to take over, as it is just an advanced L2-assisted driving system. The Luxeed RX has an active suspension and an impressive body stiffness of over 50,000 Nm/degree. The Luxeed RX A single electric motor powers the entry-level Luxeed RX. It sits in the rear axle, boasting an output of 277 kW (371 hp). The dual-motor AWD variant offers a peak power of 437 kW (586 hp). Three battery options are available for 81.1 kWh, 100.25 kWh, and 100.42 kWh, suitable for 700 – 852 km of range. The Luxeed RX began presales in China with a price range of 229,800 – 359,800 yuan (34,150 – 53,465 USD). For clarity, the Xiaomi YU7 costs 233,500 – 389,900 yuan (34,995 – 57,940 USD) in China. And the recently launched Voyah Passion S costs 229,900 – 279,900 yuan (34,160 – 41,590 USD). Most important news in your inbox. Recaps · scheduled All you need, in one email.
