The company also signed memorandums of understanding with eight German automotive dealer groups at the exhibition, marking the first step toward establishing a retail and after-sales service network in Europe. The eight dealer groups are Ernst Dello GmbH & Co. KG, Autohaus Dinnebier GmbH, Emil Frey Germany, Fett & Wirtz Automobile GmbH & Co. KG, Hahn Automobile GmbH + Co. KG, LUEG Mobility GmbH, Penske-Jacobs Innovation GmbH, SPT Avior SE & Co. Credit: Emil Frey “Xiaomi Auto is committed to long-term investment in Europe,” said Yu Liguo, vice president of Xiaomi Auto and head of its international business. “With our European R&D centre in Munich and a growing network of sales and service partners, we are dedicated to bringing European customers innovative products and first-class service experiences. Local partnerships are at the heart of this commitment.” Yu added that localised partnerships would be central to Xiaomi Auto’s European strategy. Credit: LUEG Since deliveries of its first model began in March 2024, Xiaomi has delivered more than 700,000 vehicles in mainland China. The Xiaomi SU7 series surpassed 500,000 deliveries in 28.5 months, while the Xiaomi YU7 recorded more than 240,000 firm orders within 18 hours of its launch. In July, Xiaomi Auto introduced its Xiaomi Skynomad series. The SkyNomad models are scheduled to make their official debut on Sept. 7. As part of its preparations for overseas expansion, Xiaomi Auto launched a global website and official international social-media channels in late August. The company is using IFA Berlin to showcase its “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem, as well as new projects including the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept.
