Gasgoo Munich- Xiaomi EV unveiled its new "SkyNomad" product line on July 30, debuting two extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) SUVs: the N70 Max and N90 Max. Official pre-sale prices start at 259,900 yuan and 299,900 yuan, respectively. Pre-orders opened at 9:00 p.m. on the same day, with official market launch and deliveries slated for September.Built on the new Kunlun architecture, the SkyNomad series is positioned as a "smart, transformable large-space SUV." The N70 Max is a large five-seat, four-wheel-drive EREV SUV measuring 4,960mm long, 1,998mm wide, and 1,765mm high, with a 2,950mm wheelbase—designed for young families. The N90 Max, a flagship seven-seater, spans 5,285mm in length with a 3,080mm wheelbase, catering to long-distance group travel and high-end family needs.Interior space is the series' key differentiator. Leveraging the Kunlun platform's integrated chassis, electric drive, and battery architecture, both models feature a completely flat floor extending from the cockpit to the trunk. With a cabin floor angle of just 2.95° and a maximum flat area exceeding 4.4 square meters, the design eliminates the awkward step-up often found between the second and third rows of traditional SUVs.Both models come standard with long-sliding rails made of 7-series aluminum alloy. The N90 Max boasts rails up to 1,938mm long, with 900mm of travel for both the second and third rows. Combined with a sliding center console that integrates fast charging, a refrigerator, and storage, the vehicles support 18 spatial configurations—including face-to-face seating, zero-gravity rest, and a fully flat bed mode. The cockpit runs on the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, supporting six-screen linkage and full-scenario voice control that allows users to switch between 11 layouts with a single sentence. It also features a Flyback low-voltage power supply: Sentry Mode consumes less than 5km of range per night, and the onboard refrigerator uses just 0.72 kWh for 24 hours of cooling.For driver assistance, all models come standard with the Nvidia Thor-U in-vehicle computing chip, offering 700 TOPS of computing power. The setup includes forward-facing dual LiDARs, 4D millimeter-wave radar, and ALD-coated high-definition cameras, running Xiaomi's HAD (High-Assistance Driving) system. The N90 Max adds a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR to precisely detect negative steps, height limit bars, and suspended obstacles, enhancing safety when parking or reversing a large vehicle.Powertrain-wise, the series employs Xiaomi's Kunlun Super EREV system with a large-battery approach. The N70 Max is equipped with a 76 kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC pure-electric range of up to 505 km—the highest in its class. The N90 Max offers 464 km of CLTC electric range and a total CLTC range of 1,705 km on a full tank and charge.The system pairs a custom-developed 1.5T range extender—optimized across seven core components and 57 parts—with a silicon carbide (SiC) five-in-one electric drive. This achieves a fuel-to-electric conversion efficiency of 3.66 kWh/L. The N90 Max's fuel consumption drops to 6.26 L/100 km when the battery is low, and the system supports 92, 95, and 98 octane gasoline.Both models feature a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system with a peak power of 310 kW, accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in as fast as 5.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 190 km/h. The chassis uses a double-wishbone front suspension and H-arm multi-link independent rear suspension, with standard five-stage adjustable air springs and continuous variable damping shock absorbers.
