They stand on the in-house-developed Kunlun platform. Both cars adopt a 1.5-liter engine from Changan subsidiary Dongan under the hood with a peak power of 112 kW (150 hp). It sends energy to a battery and electric motors. Xiaomi highlighted that this engine supports 92, 95, and 98 octane gasoline. The fuel consumption of this ICE is 6.26 liters per 100 km. Two battery options are available: a 52 kWh Sunwoda-made LFP pack and a 76 kWh CALB-made ternary NMC battery. The Skynomad N70 is available with a single e-motor in the rear axle for 210 kW (282 hp) or a dual-motor AWD for 30 kW (416 hp). Its electric range reaches 505 km under CLTC conditions due to a low energy consumption of 15.85 kWh per 100 km. The larger Skynomad N90 Max can run up to 464 km under CLTC conditions. For clarity, the Leapmotor D19 EREV SUV with an 80.3 kWh pack has an EV range of 500 km. Moreover, the 76 kWh battery pack could be charged from 20% to 80% in 18 minutes. Xiaomi officials shared that it takes 15 minutes to charge 285 km of electric range at the DC station. Skynomad crossovers feature a front double wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension. Another highlight is three adjustable steering effort levels. The Skynomad N90 Max has a turning radius of 5.95 meters. The car’s braking distance from 100 km/h is 38.57 meters. The zero-to-hundred acceleration time takes 5.9 seconds. The Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max’s body uses 90.4% high-strength steel and aluminum alloy. It’s reinforced with 2200 MPa steel in 16 key places. The door ring of the Skynomad N90 Max is a hot-formed one-piece element that has 3.3 meters in length and 1.5 meters in height. It runs through the first, second, and third rows. Hot-formed pieces lower the weight and enhance safety. However, their core drawback is poor repairability. Xiaomi Skynomad crossovers adopt the Nvidia Thor assisted driving 4 nm chip with a peak computing power of 700 TOPS. The same element is adopted by Geely’s G-ASD G-Pilot H7 ADAS. Skynomad models adopt a LiDAR sensor on the roof. Other highlights include an AI voice control function, dual 5G & Wi-Fi communication interfaces, and 25 speakers with a peak power of 4,890 W and 7.1.4 acoustic architecture. The Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max boasts a seven-seat cabin with a 2+2+3 layout. Its front seats can rotate by 180 degrees to face-forward the second-row seats. An optional car table could be installed in the center tunnel to act as a coffee table. As a result, the Skynomad N90 can turn into a small living room with a maximum space of 1,370 mm in the four-person mode. The N90 comes standard with 16-point massaged first- and second-row seats. Those chairs also offer zero-gravity modes. The Skynomad N70 offers dimensions of 4960/1998/1785 mm and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. The N90 Max is a bigger model with dimensions of 5285/1998/1825 mm. Its wheelbase is 3,080 mm. The Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max became available for preorders, revealing a price of 299,900 yuan (44,320 USD). The car’s launch is scheduled for September 2026. At the same time, the smaller five-seat Skynomad N70 is priced at 259,900 yuan (38,410 USD). Skynomad-branded cars will enter the highly competitive market niche, populated by various Li Auto, Aito, Lynk & Co, BYD, Denza, Voyah, Deepal, and Zeekr models. Xiaomi bets on comfort features, competitive priceing and sufficient electric range. However, the EREV market share has been shrinking in China.
