Lei Jun reaffirmed the annual delivery target of 550,000 units and announced multiple new models launching this year. On the evening of February 10th, Xiaomi Auto CEO Lei Jun commenced a 4-hour live stream, during which he disclosed the company’s deployment plans for 2026. According to Lei Jun, the Xiaomi Auto factory, which commenced operations in March 2024, has now achieved a high level of automation. The factory currently houses six to seven hundred robots, enabling 100% automated assembly across all production stages, with inspection processes also being fully automated. Furthermore, the entire roof of the Xiaomi Auto plant is equipped with self-generating photovoltaic panels, which fully supply the factory’s electricity needs. In response to market discussions regarding the approximately 22% month-on-month decline in deliveries for January 2026, Lei Jun provided an explanation. He pointed out that this change is primarily due to two objective factors: firstly, the first quarter is traditionally a low sales season for the automotive industry; secondly, the first-generation SU7 has officially ceased sales. Current deliveries mainly rely on the limited remaining inventory cars, display models, and pre-owned vehicles in circulation, as the primary delivery focus has completely shifted to the YU7. The most significant news from this live stream was undoubtedly Xiaomi Auto’s product plans for 2026. Lei Jun revealed that the all-new Xiaomi SU7, scheduled for launch in April, will be displayed in mall stores in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Wuhan starting February 13th. The new-generation SU7 has undergone comprehensive upgrades, with core components such as the chassis, motor, and battery all receiving enhancements. It comes standard with 245mm front and 265mm rear wide tires and 2200MPa ultra-high-strength steel across the entire lineup. SU7 Ultra In terms of intelligent driving, the new vehicle features standard equipment across all variants including lidar, 4D millimeter-wave radar, and 700 TOPS of computing power for assisted driving. It is equipped with the Xiaomi HAD end-to-end advanced driver-assistance system. Lei Jun emphasized that the new car’s door handles also preemptively comply with the new national safety standards. Regarding the plans for 2026, Lei Jun reiterated the annual delivery target of 550,000 vehicles and stated that several new models will be launched this year. Before the new-generation SU7 hits the market, Xiaomi Auto will primarily rely on the YU7 to maintain sales volume. According to Lei Jun, the last first-generation Xiaomi SU7 has already rolled off the production line and is currently in transit. This also signifies the complete discontinuation of the first-generation Xiaomi SU7. As of now, the total production and delivery volume of the first-generation Xiaomi SU7 has exceeded 360,000 units.
