The Xiaomi YU7 GT is a performance SUV with a peak power of 990 hp and a starting price of 389,900 yuan (57,510 USD). Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun traditionally participated in each delivery ceremony of the Xiaomi Auto vehicle, including the SU7 sedan and the YU7 SUV. On May 29, Lei Jun and Shu Qi delivered six Xiaomi YU7 GT crossovers during the live stream. Five of these models were finished in Cherry Red, while one model was black. Lei Jun and Qi Shu had a chat with every owner and took a group photo. Xiaomi YU7 GT deliveries Following the delivery ceremony, Lei Jun shared some information about the first six YU7 GT owners. They aren’t just entrepreneurs and top managers. Some of them work at universities, banks, and in internet marketing. Lei Jun shared that over 30% of the YU7 owners are women. And over half are Apple users. More about the Xiaomi YU7 GT The Xiaomi YU7 GT is a large, high-performance SUV that broke the Nürburgring lap record in the SUV class. Its dimensions are 5015/2007/1597 mm. In contrast with the previously launched SU7 Ultra, the YU7 GT is more oriented toward everyday commutes. It offers active air suspension, enhanced interior materials quality, and some luxury features. Xiaomi YU7 GT The Xiaomi YU7 GT adopts dual-motor AWD or 38 kW (990 hp). This allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.92 seconds, reaching a top speed of 300 km/h. It also has a 101.7 kWh ternary NMC battery pack. This SUV can run up to 705 km of CLTC range on a full charge. Thanks to the 897V SiC high-voltage system, it can add 570 km of range in 15 minutes of charging. The YU7 GT boasts carbon-ceramic brake discs with Akebono calipers (six-piston front, four-piston rear). Its braking distance from 100 km/h is 32.9 meters. As mentioned, the YU7 GT starts at 389,900 yuan (57,510 USD). The fully equipped variant costs 429,900 yuan (63,410 USD). According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi handed over 9,876 units of the YU7 SUV to customers domestically in April, down 27.2% M-O-M.
