This MPV adopts BYD’s second-gen battery with flash charging technology, the DiSus-C suspension, and the DiPilot 5.0 assisted driving tech. The second-gen Denza D9 was launched in China on May 1 with a price range between 359,800 and 469,800 yuan (52,940 – 69,125 USD). It began deliveries on May 7. According to China EV DataTracker, Denza handed over 6,145 units of this MPV to customers, domestically. The Denza D9 Dark Gold On July 7, it got the new color scheme called Dark Gold. Its core features include a blackened body with glossy golden trim accents, a shield-shaped grille, and the genuine gold-plated emblem on the front. The dimensions remained the same at 5250/1960/1900 mm. The car adopts black multi-spoke rims with golden caps. Other features include a continuous taillight unit and a gold stripe that crosses the car’s body. The car adopts a roof spoiler and a golden accent in the rear bumper. The plug-in hybrid version of the D9 adopts a 1.5-liter turbocharged ICE for 115 kW (154 hp). The entry-level model offers a single e-motor for 200 kW (268 hp). There is also an AWD trim available with an additional e-motor in the rear axle producing 45 kW (60 hp). Thanks to a 66.5 kWh battery, the car can run up to 400 km in EV mode. This version also supports the flash charging tech.
