The 2026 KTM 390 range has been launched in Malaysia today. More specifically, KTM Malaysia launched 4 models: KTM 390 Enduro R, KTM 390 SMC R, KTM 390 Adventure X, and KTM 390 Adventure R. However, the new KTM 390 Duke was not part of the launch today. The central theme of today’s launch was Orange Blood: Back on Track, indeed addressing concerns for the brand’s financial crisis a while ago. Mr. Goi Seong Keng, KTM Malaysia’s National Marketing Manager did address the issue in his welcoming speech, saying that KTM did indeed hit some hiccups but are now back to excite riders around the world, including Malaysia. A new regional manager was also introduced, namely Mr. Alberto Testolina, who holds the position of General Manager of South East Asia. Test rides were provided for the attending media, KOLs and members of Kev Advenduro Park after the bikes were unveiled. One aspect of note are the prices of these bikes, now much lower than ever before for KTM, as the brand had always prided themselves with premium pricing in the past. Apart from that, KTM offers a 4-year warranty period The 2026 KTM 390 Range (Shared Features) While all four models share the same 398.7cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder LC4c engine which produces 45 PS and 39 Nm, each variant has a different tune to fit their specific purposes. Service interval is set at every 10,000 km across the platform. The range also shares the same frame (apart from the new 390 Duke), albeit with different headstock angles for different rake angles. All variants are also equipped with KTM Quickshifter+ as a standard feature now. KTM 390 Adventure R (RM33,300) No doubt the star of the show, the all-new 390 Adventure R is the higher spec’ed variant and offroad-centric in the 390 Adventure range, and it was easy to see that KTM had used their all-conquering 450 Rally as the inspiration. KTM 390 Enduro R The 390 Enduro R follows in the footsteps of the 690 Enduro R which like its bigger brother, has a low seat height for better accessibility. KTM’s engineers has made this bike much lighter too, tipping the scales at only 159 kg, dry. THIS is the bike you should start your off-road adventures with. Highlights: 4.2-inch H42 TFT display. Truth be told, the first factory hooligan bike that made the genre famous was the 620 Duke in 1994. Since then, KTM’s Duke lineup had evolved to be naked sportbikes. The 390 SMC R, on the other hand, brings back that spirit, although, it is supermoto-syled. Highlights: 4.2-inch H42 TFT display.
