Positioned by the company as a “sports car-level SUV suitable for long-distance travel,” the new vehicle features a high-performance design and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. Xiaomi has confirmed that the YU7 GT will be officially launched in late May. Exterior The YU7 GT continues the design language of the Xiaomi YU7 family but introduces a long hood and a wide-body structure. The GT variant debuts an exclusive Crimson Red paint finish and a black-gold brand logo. The exterior is further enhanced by a specialised front bumper with increased ventilation openings, a prominent front lip, and a rear diffuser. In terms of dimensions, the YU7 GT measures 5015mm in length, 2007mm in width, and 1597mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm. Compared to the standard YU7, the GT version is 10mm longer, 21mm wider, and 23mm lower. Interior Inside, the YU7 GT retains the layout of the standard model but adopts a striking black-and-red dual-tone colour scheme. The cabin is upholstered in a mix of Nappa leather and Alcantara, accented by carbon fibre decorative panels, red contrast stitching, and red seatbelts. The vehicle is equipped with integrated sports seats featuring “GT” embroidery on the headrests and the passenger-side dashboard. For the driver, the steering wheel includes a physical “boost” button for immediate acceleration. The cockpit is centred around a floating central touchscreen and a “skyline” full-width instrument display, both running a dedicated sports-themed UI to enhance the driving atmosphere. 990 hp and 800V fast charging Under the hood, the Xiaomi YU7 GT utilises a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout. The front motor delivers a maximum power of 288 kW (386 hp), while the rear motor provides 450 kW (603 hp), resulting in a staggering total system output of 738 kW (990 hp). The SUV is powered by a 101.7 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering a CLTC range of 705km. Built on an 800V high-voltage electrical platform, with official data showing the YU7 GT can charge from 10% to 80% in 12 minutes. Xiaomi also highlighted the vehicle’s handling prowess, noting that the YU7 GT previously completed road testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a lap time of 7 minutes and 32 seconds, a testament to its chassis tuning and high-speed stability. The YU7 lineup first entered the Chinese market in June 2025. Monthly domestic sales exceeded 20,000 units in both February and March 2026 before falling below 10,000 units in April. It recorded 9,876 domestic sales in China in April 2026, according to China EV DataTracker data. Monthly sales were down 27.2% from March.
