From their inception, V8 engines quickly became synonymous with power and speed, and over time, the V8 has seen numerous innovations, evolving from naturally aspirated powerhouses to technologically advanced turbocharged marvels. Today, the V8 continues to be a symbol of automotive excellence and powers some of the world's most iconic vehicles.Throughout my career as an automotive journalist, I've had the privilege of testing many different vehicles, and in the most amazing places. FerrariWhile the Ferrari 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 stands out, and even though several other V8 engines have made significant impacts in the automotive world, it's still this very Ferrari V8 engine that has stood out as the best of the best in modern times. Don't believe me? Well, I am not the only one who thinks so, because this V8 engine has been awarded by many of my peers as well.The Ferrari 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine has won the prestigious International Engine of the Year award for four consecutive years - from 2016 onwards. This recognition underscores its superiority in terms of performance, design, and overall driving experience, and it's not just my opinion, but fact as well.There might have been many other engines with plenty of awards, such as the naturally-aspirated Ford Modular V8 engine, which has also garnered numerous accolades. But in a world of turbos, the Ferrari engine here is one of the best turbocharged V8 engines ever, and in this regard, the Ferrari engine remains unmatched.
