The delivery is part of a contract signed in May 2025, which includes not only the buses but also the provision of charging infrastructure.The delivery includes depot chargers and pantograph charging stations, which will be installed at the depot and at various locations across the city. This pantograph infrastructure is designed to enable the charging of electric buses during regular service operations.MZK Toruń has been operating battery-electric buses from Solaris since 2022. With this latest delivery, the operator’s electric bus fleet has grown from ten to a total of 50 vehicles.The delivered vehicles are twelve-metre, low-floor buses equipped with air conditioning. They also feature driver assistance systems compliant with the European safety regulation GSR2. These include a Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) for detecting cyclists in the blind spot and a Moving Off Information System (MOIS), which identifies pedestrians and cyclists in front of the vehicle and alerts the driver when setting off.“We are pleased that another 40 battery-electric buses from Solaris have joined the fleet of MZK Toruń.
