With sedans and other body styles declining in popularity over the last decade or so, SUVs have emerged on top. It only makes sense for automakers like Ford to drop the less-popular styles in favor of a full lineup of various SUVs - that's exactly what Ford did. All it has left is the Mustang, the F-Series pickup trucks, and a suite of SUV models that range from the compact electric Mustang Mach-E to the full-size Expedition. In this article, we'll lay out every new Ford SUV model from the cheapest to the most expensive. Like many other legacy automakers, Ford really has something for everybody (as long as you want an SUV, of course). Without further ado, here are all the new Ford SUV models you can buy for the 2026 model year. All specifications have been sourced directly from the manufacturer. Prices are correct at the time of writing, and exclude destination, options, taxes, and other potential fees set by dealerships. Automakers reserve the right to change pricing at any time without notice. 2026 Ford Escape Base Price: $30,350 2026 Ford EscapeOut of all the new Ford SUV models, the cheapest option is the Escape. This compact crossover has some tough competition, including the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V. The RAV4 is available as a gas-only model, in addition to a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. Therefore, it only makes sense to offer the Escape with a diverse spread of powertrains as well. We'll get to that next though. One important note about the 2026 Escape, though: Ford explains how this new model is not CARB (California Air Resources Board) certified, meaning it's not available for sale or registration in states that have adopted CARB emissions standards; these states include California, Massachusetts, Oregon, New York, Vermont, and Washington. This compact crossover SUV is a popular choice since it offers so many powertrain options. The least-expensive models use a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four, but for the best fuel economy, buyers should upgrade to the plug-in hybrid system. It's not all about fuel economy, though. The Escape is a practical model with plenty of room in both rows for five people. Folding down the second row opens up room for 65.4 cubic feet of cargo. 2026 Ford Bronco Sport Base Price: $31,845 2026 Ford Bronco SportNew Ford SUVs continue with the Bronco Sport. While the regular Bronco is a great off-roader, it's large and far more expensive. That's where the Bronco Sport comes in; it's another compact SUV, but this one takes aim at the Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness and the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, for example.Unlike the larger Bronco, this small model comes with all-wheel drive instead of 4WD. Yes, Ford says it's a 4X4 on its website, but it lacks the transfer case of a 4WD vehicle. Instead, the Bronco Sport has a dual-clutch automatic transmission for the Badlands model. Nevertheless, this small Ford SUV is tighter inside than the Escape, with less legroom in the second row. It can still hold up to 65.2 cubic feet of cargo behind the front row, though. 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E Base Price: $37,795 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT California SpecialThe next Ford new SUV is the Mustang Mach-E. We're not here to discuss whether it deserves to be called a Mustang, but we certainly believe it's a great model, regardless of its name. The Mustang Mach-E is a compact electric SUV that rivals the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5.It's available in four trims, including the Select, Premium, GT, and Rally. The first two have a single motor as standard, but can be upgraded with a dual-motor setup. The GT and Rally trims, on the other hand, come with a more powerful dual-motor setup as standard. While the model is a practical and efficient EV, Ford recently annoyed buyers by charging an extra $500 for the frunk that used to be standard. 2026 Ford Explorer Base Price: $38,465 2026 Ford Explorer STA quintessential family SUV is the Ford Explorer. In fact, we named it our family car of the year for 2025. It's a three-row midsize SUV that rivals the Kia Telluride and Mazda CX-90.Buyers can choose between six trim levels; most trims come with the 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four, but the Tremor and ST trims come with a more powerful turbocharged V6. The cheapest option is the Active, which starts at $38,465 before destination, and the ST tops the lineup at $54,905. Depending on your trim and configuration, the Explorer can seat either seven or eight people, and all of them hold up to 85.8 cubic feet of cargo behind the front row. 2026 Ford Bronco Base Price: $39,995 2026 Ford BroncoThe ultimate off-road machine from Ford is the standard-sized Bronco. This body-on-frame model comes in either two- or four-door configurations, which helps it rival the Jeep Wrangler. It's also available in an extreme Bronco Raptor trim level with more power and better off-road upgrades.*Horsepower and torque figures vary depending on fuel type (regular or premium)**Fuel economy varies by trim levelThere are six regular Bronco trims, excluding the Raptor variant. At the bottom, buyers can choose the Base trim for $40,495, but a nicer interior and other upgrades are found in the top-of-the-line Stroppe Edition for $69,995. The ultimate off-road warrior is the Raptor, though, for $79,995. 2026 Ford Expedition Base Price: $62,700 2025 Ford Expedition Max Platinum UltimateThe largest and most expensive Ford SUV on sale for the 2026 model year is the Expedition, which is available as either a standard-length or an extended 'MAX' version. Both can seat up to eight people relatively comfortably. It rivals other large body-on-frame full-size models, like the Chevrolet Tahoe and the Toyota Sequoia. There are only four trims to choose from; buyers can stay at a reasonable price in the Active trim for $62,700, or upgrade to the somewhat premium King Ranch trim level for $84,360 before destination and options. Most trims are equipped with a standard-output 3.5-liter turbo V6 engine, but the Tremor off-road variant gets a high-output version of the same engine, along with standard four-wheel drive.
