Flashmemory256/RedditSometimes, letting another driver merge into traffic is the easiest way to keep everyone moving, but one Chevrolet Corvette driver apparently wasn't interested.Dashcam footage recently shared on Reddit showed a red SUV attempting to pull out of a gas station and into traffic while vehicles are stopped at a red light. The Corvette was positioned directly in front of the entrance, and it left little room for the SUV to pull out into traffic. When the SUV began to inch forward, the Corvette driver quickly pulled up to further try and block the SUV from pulling out. However, the other driver wasn't ready to give up. The SUV continued moving forward until the two vehicles came extremely close and it appeared that the SUV possibly came in contact with the Corvette. It's unclear from the footage whether they actually did.The Corvette driver then got out of his car and approached the SUV. Instead of sticking around, the SUV driver backed up and maneuvered around the Corvette before driving away.Flashmemory256/RedditThe short clip quickly sparked a debate over which driver was actually in the wrong."The Corvette had the right of way. Corvette is on the road, SUV is coming out of a driveway," one Reddit user wrote. "SUV driver should have been patient and waited for a break in traffic."Another agreed that the SUV was in the wrong, but they questioned why the Corvette driver didn't simply let them out into traffic."It costs nothing to just let someone in," the Redditor wrote. "Smile, wave them in, you both have a far better day than you're now having."Flashmemory256/RedditA third commenter argued that the SUV should have waited until traffic began moving before they attempted to pull out onto the roadway. However, they pointed out the situation didn't need to turn into a confrontation."The red SUV was blocking the turn lane by not being able to clear that entrance into traffic," the person added. "Granted, the corvette doesn't need to create a whole scene making it about himself…but in reality, the SUV needed to wait until the light was green and traffic allowed them to enter the roadway."Read More From First for AutosPresident Trump Scraps Off-Road Limit on 'Red Dye' Diesel as Drivers Battle Soaring PricesCorvette Driver's Passenger Narrowly Escapes Burning Vehicle During Test Run Gone WrongMechanic Warns Drivers About Common Repair Scam, Dishonest Technicians: 'Thief With a Toolbox'This story Corvette Driver Blocks SUV From Entering Traffic, Sparks Viral Debate Over Who Was Wrong first appeared on First for Autos.
