In November 2025, the brand’s official domestic name was revealed as Yijing. The first model under the new brand was teased in January as a full-size SUV that is aimed at a middle-to-high market segment. CarNewsChina studied the China National Intellectual Property Administration and found out that Dongfeng previously applied for the Epicland trademark. It aligns with the previously released Aistaland brand from Huawei and GAC. We assume that the new brand will be known in foreign countries by the Epicland name. However, this information has yet to be confirmed by the brand’s officials. Typically, one of them acts as a fuel cap cover, and another one covers the charging port. It means that this vehicle is most likely a plug-in hybrid. We expect the X9 to cost below 350,000 yuan (51,340 USD).
