The NX7 features a front-end design with split headlights. Along the side, the vehicle adopts a streamlined profile equipped with semi-hidden door handles. A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is clearly visible. At the rear, the NX7 employs a continuous taillight design with segmented internal lighting, complemented by a small rear spoiler and an illuminated Nissan emblem – a feature also mirrored on the front of the vehicle. Detailed specifications for the NX7 have not yet been fully released. CarNewsChina expects it to belong to the same series as the NX8, with potential offerings in both pure electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (EREV) versions. For reference, the Dongfeng Nissan NX8 was launched on April 8 of this year, with a guided price range of 159,900 to 209,900 yuan (23,500 to 30,900 USD). The NX8 is built on an 800V silicon carbide platform, utilising CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries with 5C fast charging technology. Its dimensions are 4,870mm (L) x 1,920mm (W) x 1,680mm (H), with a wheelbase of 2,917mm. It is also highly likely that Nissan will use this model for export. On June 25 2025, Dongfeng Motor announced the formation of a joint venture with NCIC (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nissan) to engage in automotive export business. The joint venture, with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan (140 million USD), will see Dongfeng Motor contribute 400 million yuan (40% stake) and NCIC contribute 600 million yuan (60% stake). According to the report, Nissan believes that the competitively priced EVs manufactured in China will attract overseas orders. Additionally, Nissan plans to introduce other EVs and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the Chinese market, including its first electric pickup truck. Official photos of the Nissan NX7.
