Compared to Dongfeng's existing P1+P3 dual-motor system, the new unit sheds 39% of its weight—a significant leap in lightweighting.The benefits of shedding weight go beyond mere lightness. The system optimizes axle load distribution, freeing up space for interior layouts and boosting range potential. In daily driving, the motor decouples from the wheels to cut drag and lower energy consumption per 100 km. For long-haul trips with a depleted battery, the prototype uses a high-speed direct-drive engine route, cutting fuel use by 15% compared to similar products. The result: pure-electric quietness when fully charged, and fuel-efficient reliability when running on gas.Since its 2021 debut, Mach Power has built a portfolio spanning internal combustion, hybrid, electric, and hydrogen powertrains, with industry-leading technologies in hybrid-specific engine thermal efficiency and multi-gear architectures. Moving forward, Dongfeng plans to expand its Mach hybrid lineup, equipping more models with powertrain options that are efficient, economical, and reliable.
